PERFORMERS & ARTISTS

Future Band

Future Band was created in 2013 and has since thrilled audiences with their tremendous energy and ability to entertain people of all ages. Melding the essence of Hip Hop, Soul, and GoGo; and in the styles of The Roots with a touch of Earth, Wind & Fire. Future Band combines the very best of many genres of music, while entertaining and captivating audiences with their sincerity and power. Their newest project "Black Friday" released in November 2018 which has been met with rave reviews.

DJ Malcolm Xavier

Malcolm Xavier is one of the best and most sought after DJ’s in DC. As the Nightly DJ on 93.9 WKYS and the go-to DJ for all the major clubs/venues in D.C. and for trusted brands including Nike, the Washington Redskins, and Broccoli City Festival. As a musical influencer within the District of Columbia, Malcolm Xavier’s popularity gave way to a weekly party series, Joy Club DC, which features top DJ’s from across the country at the buzzing venue Cloak & Dagger. His goal is simple and singular, to be the best; a goal he is quickly proving to be in arms reach.

Art Auré

Art Auré is a classically trained singer songwriter, merging her breathtakingly beautiful voice with a brilliant fusion of pop, funk, and soul taking her audience on an emotional journey.

Locally & Regionally Curated Art

Busboys & Poets goes to great lengths to highlight DC-area artists. Curator Carol Rhodes Dyson works tirelessly to build meaningful relationships with the artists and makers who grace the walls of each location, curating with the utmost care and respect.

Our Words Our City Poetry Group

IDC SCORES poet-athletes  make up the "Our Words Our City" poetry group. During a 12-week program, these impeccable students learned how to write creatively and perform poetry. Every student writes at least five original poems and gets the chance to express themselves on a stage. We can't wait to see them in action!
